Ballymena Saturday Morning League Preview 06-12-2014

A place in the final of the Okane Cup is up for grabs this weekend with All Saints OB v Harryville Homers in the first semi-final.  Homers have won the only meeting this season with a 5-2 in the league.  Its hard to look past Homers winning this game but All Saints OB will be no doubt out to spoil the party.  The other Semi-Final has the only remaining Division 2 team Ahoghill Rovers up against Clough Rangers and one this BSML leagues inform strikers Ricky Dunlop.  Clough will be favorites for this game but Rovers haven't gotten this far by given teams an easy ride.

In Division 1 Carniny will be looking to extend their lead at the top with an away fixture against FC Antrim.  Ahoghill Thistle can go joint second with a win at home to FC Moylena, Thistle still have a 100% record in the league and will look to maintain that.  Connor will be looking for a win with home advantage over Raceview, the win will give them some breathing room at the bottom of the table and they also have several games in hand.  Abbeyview will be looking to stop the run of defeats away to bottom side FC Penarol. The other bottom side Michelin play hosts to mid table Ballykeel, Michelin came out on top last season and will be hoping that home advantage helps this season.

Top plays bottom in division 2 this week with Newpark Olympic hosting Cullybackey.  Cullybackey hoping that current form and position won't be a factor in this game and they will be looking to produce the same display that took them to a 2-0 win last season.  Seven Towers with look to last weeks win against top of the table Newpark as the performance to keep them moving up the table.  Another big game this week against second place Waveney Swifts who will find this game not an easy task.  3rd place Galgorm Blue are on a downward spiral with one win in five they will be looking a big performance at home to Glenravel to keep their season on track.  Lisnafillan Swifts host St Comgalls and will be looking to keep pace with those around them at the top of the table.  St Comgalls with back to back wins for the first time this season will be looking to make that three in a row to try and close the gap on those around them at the bottom of the table.  The last two games see Riverdale host Braid United and Holywell away to Carnlough.  It was honours even last season in the Riverdale v Carnlough game with a 1-1 draw.  Holywell are showing a bit of form with only one defeat in their last five games and will be looking to improve on that.

In Division 3 table toppers Randalstown host third place Wakehurst Star.  Wakehursts form has been patchy the past few weeks and a visit to the top team should be incentive enough to get them up for this one.  Cushendall play hosts to Sporting Ballymoney being joint top will be looking to keep up with Randalstown and look to home advantage to overcome Sporting.  Atletico Antrim will look to last weeks 4-2 win as a starting point to move back up the table.  A win against Steadfast could move them out of the bottom two with Sportings difficult game away to Cushendall.  Last game pits mid table teams Woodside v Rectory, Rectory are putting a great run together with four wins and a draw in their last five and will look to put some distance between themselves and Woodside.
