Carnbane Football League Weekly Preview 24-10-2015

With the Mid Ulster Shield matches scheduled for this weekend there are only 4 league games.  In the Premier Division Cleary Celtic travel to Clanrye Athletic for only their 4th league game so far this season so already playing catchup on the others.  A win for Celtic could move them as high as 5th in the table and after putting 5 past 3rd placed Ballybot last weekend will be in good shape to move up the table.  Clanrye could also jump a few spots with a much needed win and will be more confident after last weekends point after 3 consecutive league defeats.

The two bottom sides in the Premier Division fight it out this weekend and a point for Newry Celtic would be enough to see them put of the bottom 2.  Creive Rovers need a win to see them move out of the relegation zone and up to 6th in the table. Newry saw this one out 2-0 last season and will welcome the same scoreline again.

In Division 1 its second v third with Millburn United at home to Bohemians. Both teams will be looking to keep up the pressure on leaders Finn Harps with them not playing this weekend.  Bohemians the only side to take points of Harps this season and will come into this game with some confidence that they can keep up with the pack.  Millburn have only dropped 3 points so far with the one defeat and are on a 4 game wining run in the league. A win for them will see them move to within a point of Finn Harps at the top.  Last season Bohemians took all 3 points with a single goal and form would suggest this one will should be as equally as tight as last season.

Only one place in the table separates these two opponents this week but Haldane Fisher could put 7 points between themselves and Rockview United if they can win. Both teams come into this game with similar form, only Haldane picking up 4 points to Rockviews 3 in their last 5 games.  Haldane just pipped United in last seasons game with a solitary goal.
